He was probably the biggest brainlet in European history, virtually every single thing he ever wrote is farcically unbelievably stupid and wrong. The personification of that autistic kid who thinks he is the smartest person in the entire fucking world. They are so autistic that they can't understand that 99% of the population is not autistic and in Kant's case 99% of the population have lower IQs, 50% are functionally retarded, and women are not just soft men, so everything the autist thinks is entirely inappropriate for all but about 1% of the population, who usually have no children. Libertarians embody this archetype too. There's a damn good reason Nietzsche had such unkind things to say about Kant. Rationalists and their cousins the Idealists are the most delusional motherfuckers of all time.

>Will i have to suck keynes dick and preach climate garbage to pass? you will most likely learn paul samuelson econ in undergrad, where you will have to regurgitate formulas that the teachers themselves will do a terrible job explaining. then hopefully you will experience true econ in a masters program. where you are hopefully taught that you should be able to translate each and every step of reasoning into common, everyday English. and if it doesn't make sense for the economic system you are studying, then you have to throw it out and start over again.
its a 50/50 shot, user. econ is more complex than the simple formulas you learn in undergraduate school.
i recommend reading Economic Organization by Frank Knight, then look into other works by the guy. He is CONSTANTLY self-criticizing his ideas. He even entertains (but does not subscribe, in fact hates it) to the ideas of communism. He did a talk about "the argument for communism." His major view was that economic trade is organic, darwinistic, not paul samuelson (keynes-esque) hyper rationalist and mechanistic.
His major paper was on risk, uncertainty, and profit; it's on how you might find profit in a perfectly competitive market. yet he has a TON of social philosophical papers out there - the most notable one is the ethics of competition.

I never met anyone who can explain something left of the Chicago school in a way that makes sense. It might just be the theorys to begin with to be honest
