M4 in the south is always over burdened with traffic and can't be improved due to it being so important to the South and also all those cars can't go through little villages and towns along the way
In the north is the A55 which had been intended to be a 3 land motroway but about 200 meters in they decided better stick to a 2 lane express way to be super awkward. now you have dense traffic almost constantly as you go from Holyhead to Chester and some dumb fuck decided it was a good idea to put round abouts on it along the way and use the hundred or so year old bridges. to get to Angelsey.
