these tax cuts enabled large businesses to expand and create hundreds of thousands of new jobs over the last few quarters. many grants were issued before and during that via executive order that allowed many small businesses to start. some of these loans and grants were exclusive to women and minority business license holders. the unemployment rate has plummeted in the last 2 years along with the high school drop out rate. this has directly resulted in decreased crime rates in many cities nation wide. some are the lowest that they have been in decades. the student loan debt is so high because 10 years ago the federal government socialized the loans and made it easier to get a student loan then most peoples' first credit card. 8% of college students are enrolled in majors that do not have a career field available upon graduation. creating jobs and stabilizing the country economically is far more of a worthwhile investment then paying off thousands of students debt created from getting a useless gender studies degree because they were dangerously underqualified to earn a real degree.

Soviet education was good for engineers, physicists, etc. Humanitarian education was suppressed. Now in Russia, free Universities do not provide quality education, but non-state universities are no better than state UNIVERSITIES. On the other hand, you with these credits have created a lot of rich little white SJW bastards who prohibit freedom of speech and computer games
I am a supporter of free education with a small number of elite private Universities. At the same time, universities should have autonomy.

It'd be taking money away from workers and giving it to people that wasted their degrees and got into a shit load of debt because they make poor life choices and can't pay it off. Those faggots aren't going to magically stop working at Starcucks because they had all their debt paid for by someone else.
My Soviet family did well in the education system there because they all went stem, humanities is more niche and definitely gets oversaturated here.
