I was denied the US visa thrice. Very definitely, I have more money than the mexicans.

You can go to the US state department webiste and look at the list of countries that let US citizens in for tourism without needing a visa. Most of those have a mutual arrangement where the US will let them in without a visa.

Oddly enough, Brazil wound up on some kind of state department shitlist despite being a relatively friendly country, so both countries require visas from each other. I wouldn't be surprised if evil communist soviet union had mutual travel restrictions. I had a friend once who wanted to escape to Russia without leaving a big paper trail, and the most viable plan he came up with was to take a boat to Cuba and then fly to Russia from there.
