Why did the purge fail? Mostly because the premise that murder could be legal one night a year had improved the economy so much that they kept the ceremony made libertarian and consecutive economists immediately dismiss such an idea since it didn’t account for property damage or the amount of lost training and experience replacing dead employees would immediately have. Not to mention the effects of ptsd, a tied up legal system trying to determine who was murdered and when. Also note that all CRIME was legal on the night of the purge, where were the cp, drug, prostitution, and other vices? The purge was a cheap excuse for a scary movie that required the viewer to disavow all knowledge of basic economics for it to work. This is why it was ineffective. But a left wing themed purge? It’s red meat for Antifa and other useful idiots.
