This may have been a psyop to make the people think FDR was on their side. Most of FDR's closest advisors were bankers, FDR was a banker. The New Deal was gift for the bankers, since the money was borrowed. Butler's book begins with the line "I was in the Marines for 33 years..." 33 should be tell that what follows is made up.
