The UK can't do anything. Their navy isn't what it used to be. They don't even have good defense systems for their shiny new carriers yet, they probably wouldn't dare send them anywhere too far an American fleet. The capabilities of the Chinese navy are way exaggerated, they would get wiped out by the US pretty quickly. But they'd probably don't have too much trouble taking care of UK's navy. UK's navy probably would have a hard time against Iran even (though apparently they've been testing new missiles to be used against their speedboats a few weeks ago).
