climate change is absolutely real. I have visited several superfund sites across the US and read the history on each. One that stands out was the bunker hill in idaho site where a silver/lead mining smelt ran for 100 years. It killed EVERYTHING. first the rivers, then the fish, then the birds, then the trees. the destruction was horrendous. I heard that a company is trying to build another smelter about 80 miles north of there in a place called Priest River.... history is doomed to repeat itself if they do so. The lead levels in the water are higher than average and it's standard practice that your blood be tested for levels of lead higher than normal- which is given freely. HECLA mining corp filed bankruptcy and left the cleanup to american taxpayers and the residents of the area. Now that city dwellers are taking their tech money and moving there further destruction on the young forests have again caused problems with over logging so San Fran McMansions can be built in post falls. The amount of garbage I found in the forests was horrendous, people just dump their trash into the bushes and pretend like nothing is happening. It's impacting the wildlife and the trees. Temperatures are rising rapidly in the PNW and forest fires are burning everything. Truly, a terrible spectacle....

This is a reasonable stance for now. Backing out of the Paris climate accord isnt necessarily a bad thing because the Paris deal gave China a free pass (emissions per capita, not total emissions, and Chinas 1.3 billion swarm always favors per-capita statistics). The Paris accord allowed overpopulated developing countries to shit out as much pollution as they wanted while at the same time crippling energy industry in US and Canada.
The green new deal was even worse, it would mean the death of a nation. Opposing bad deals does not make you anti-climate, it simply makes you "anti-terrible idea".

Well assuming it was happening (still no actual evidence of this, just dubious claims of a “scientific consensus”, which isn’t how science even works, there was once a scientific consensus that the earth was flat, and there was only one guy who said it was round and the latter was correct) we’d need a bipartisan solution. We can’t just raise taxes on energy, doesn’t really fix the problem since the planet doesn’t care about how much taxes people pay in the first world, we can’t do carbon credits for the same reason. We can’t stop using fossil fuels either since we have nothing to replace them with. In short, any solution can not impact quality of life in the first world, especially since it’s the third world/developing world causing most of the problems anyways. But the left loves third world people, no matter how many children they have or whatever they dump into our water and our air so it can’t be a bipartisan issue. Remember that anything that would actually solve global warming (if it were real which, again, there is zero scientific evidence of) would need to take place in the third world, and that would be racist
