Whatever you do, don't ever breath a word about socialism. Capitalism is the air we breath, understand Shlomo? Social democracy and capitalism is infallible just ask the millions upon millions who died somewhere way across the world because of a guy with a distinctive mustache. Forget his name exactly.
Anything but capitalism is communism, ok? Especially don't ask about Caesar's agrarian reforms. He totally had a mustache to, retard. No one challenges the status quo.
Justin Ramirez
You're thinking he might've gotten a "leg up" somehow?
Isaiah Ross
No. Its usually illegal to interact with a shoplifter if you're not a cop. Maybe he was fired because he touched the guy which could be assault. If its just cause he left his till then the store probably has a don't chase shoplifters policy, leave it to security. This guy being fired just because he wasn't swiping toys is either bullshit or an example of a stupid company. Some companies would reward people for doing it, they did where I worked in a large chain store. That's not capitalism really just something else.
Eli Murphy
Good, boy. His entire livelihood earsed because of one honest mistake that anyone with honor would make.
Zachary Williams
>That's not capitalism really just something else.
What is it then? Because, even if the guy WAY OVER-REACTED, it's fucking immoral.
Jaxon Foster
Do socialists, communists ever kill themselves because their job treats them like shit?
If yes then no job related suicide is not a function of capitalism. See if you can answer the question on your own. I believe in you user. You can do it.
Andrew Flores

Bentley Rodriguez
I agree. The number of people who have been born into a society with decent worker's protections and made careers such that they can't abritrarily be fired before retiring is equivalent to the many more who have been born into your little laissez-faire Utopia.
What is a man being fired from Tesco and killing himself mean anyway, as compared to all the progress capitalism has made over the decades?
Wyatt Taylor
what the fuck are you?
Joseph Ward
Sounds like he got fired by (((management))) because he momentarily left his post to stop a shoplifter, and then killed himself because of that.
Jack Parker
Unless he was mentally retarded it's not a job you'd really strive to have.

Jewish Retail owners always forbade chasing after shoplifters. They don’t want their wage slaves getting shot and getting workers comp
Tyler Cruz
Well, so can a theif and when people are so callous and delusional as you to believe that it is sufficient to go anywhere with a cash register to make a living, then the line between honest work and crime is blured, whatever merits capitalism had falls by the wayside, and we subject ourselves to the horrors of fascism or communism all over again.
Your childlike understanding of the relation between economics and politics, is the sad fate many a Civilization has fallen to which history in the making will surely inform you of should things go on like this.
Lucas James

None was so privileged as to kill Ceasar but the Senate and when they killed Ceasar, then the Senate lost it's privileges. We all know what came afterwards.
Do not forget, that no matter who or whom you are, you can only take or keep so much from men, before they justly demand something more for themselves. All of history informs this to be so.
Bentley Bell

>progress
We’re as much slaves to the state as we’ve ever been if not more so. Progress of capitalism is just reframing society to think more money means more happiness yet it’s killed mans ability to fulfill our simple and natural desires. Want a family? Good luck finding someone who doesn’t put their career first. Want someone to love you? Good luck luck keeping them before finances split your relationship like most here. Sure we have more food and vidya but what are bread and circuses other than tools to control the people.
We are a race of conquerors, explorers, inventors, you name it the European identity is definite by great individual prowess because we are individuals. Capitalism reduces us to just a beating heart and working muscles that form a numeric value to some Jew banker. Progress for the sake of progress is not progress at all it uproots the soil of life and makes death a desirable outcome.
Elijah Price
The man was old and seemingly so dedicated to his job, that he pursued a theif and in so doing his company left him by the wayside.
If his life were so meaningless after such an honorable act for the sake of his employer and the principle not to steal, then why pursue another job working another register? If he be so abritrarily fired for doing good, where law does not protect him, then he might as well be thief. He might as well steal from the register than work again behind it, but doubly proving himself an honorable man, he killed himself rather than again be laid low.
Surely you not blind to this injustice?

>Delusions of grandeur
Listen to yourself. When a person can be so abitrarily fired for defending the till and have so little propects for the future as to be compelled to suicide because of being fired for it, then it is no delusion of grandeur to assert that is not a system which can go on.
Asher Wilson

thats not capitalism. thats just the uk.

leaving the till is probably gross misconduct or something in his contract. workers rights are protected very well here so leaving the till is an instant dismissal thing, he done fucked up. the operations management I have worked with are not interested in people or giving them a chance or any of that shit, they are just numbers and the less you hear about them the better. they want to rid themselves of problematic employees because they take up time and effort and create costs.

Ethan Young
>I honestly have no idea (((why))) we haven't made a distinction
Your problem is you think a system is something you do rather than simply a way to describe the conditions.
Captialism is a relation of production, and relations of production are like historical eras. The early bronze age was very different from the late bronze age, for example. Its that kind of distinction. Early feudalism was feudalism, late feudalism was feudalism until it became capitalism.
The idea that these are systems that can be followed better or worse is absurd. The idea that you can ever return to one set of historical conditions is absurd.
