I've been watching 'in Conversation with Bill Kristol' lately and am finding it interesting and informative. He has a lot of interesting things to say that I believe will serve as a positive influence on the future. He has a lot of ideas about how to stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan while keeping the US out of the war on terrorism. I find his positions to be logical, balanced, and consistent in terms of what's in the national interests. For example, he has a point about the role of NATO. I find this point to be important. It is important for a strong US presence, a strong presence in Europe, and for keeping out countries including Iran. For some, as I have said before, some of these views sound extreme, but the reality is that they have much merit. As a practical matter, however, in my experience these positions tend to be too far to the right in terms of political correctness to be successful. I would like to suggest that one must be careful about getting too far on the extreme positions as you do not agree with everyone on all matters and it is better to be able to communicate your views with someone who is a moderate (on each of these points) who can make you understand the positions.

Bill Kristol has always been unapologetically pro American and ultimately is considered widely to be an icon of his generation. He's been hailed and praised as "America's longest-tenured" columnist on his Newsmax website, and even is featured as an "influential conservative" on Fox News's Bill Hemmer. Even MSNBC's Joy Reid (or Rachel Maddow, who has become extremely good at telling stories about Mr. Kristol) has described the pundit as "a leader for many conservative causes."
In my opinion he is up there with Charles Krauthammer and Booth for most sane voices in politics these days. He was always at least somewhat accurate in his predictions before the election.

President Reagan was always tough on drugs infact, tough on crime. Some things may have gone amiss under his watch but no one can doubt that he believed in America and was one of the most profound leaders of this century.
As a young conservative and anti-establishment figure, he had much to offer to the Republican party and his party's hopes for the future. Although he was a hardline libertarian, he had no problem with a strong military, while also having great respect for the Second Amendment. His ideas on how to create jobs, raise the minimum wage, give people a chance by investing in education, health, and other social programs have stuck with many Americans and helped propel him to an amazing 44% of the vote. While his presidency could very well have ended there, we have seen a lot of signs that his legacy of a great many of these reforms are making a comeback in Washington... I can only hope Trump tones back some of his hardline rhetoric and takes a leaf or two out of 'Ronnie's book!
