TL;DR they basically ripped off of the Japanese Imperial Model but Koreanized it basically making a Korean Ethnostate around the Kim family and viewing the Kims as a continuation of the Korean Emperors of the past. They aren't communists what so ever but culturally and economically. Just the Japanese Empire living on in Korea ironically enough.
