Starship troopers was elective reading at my highschool. It's more about sparking debate. Our civics teacher was actually pretty redpilled. We ultimately dismissed civic nationalism on the basis that a disarmed citizenry ruled over by a military elite, regardless if toying with skin color, is tyranny doomed to failure. It diesnt matter how benevolent an oligarchy is, power corrupts.
We got pretty far into the weeds on the need for selfless service. We sacrifice ultimately for our kin, higher orders of nationalism is just a playground to bully our kin's interest.
