One tactic that comes to mind is “you’re crazy.” By calling someone crazy it attempts to drive a wedge between the audience and the object of the attack. One tactic I've noticed is what I call the "inversion of motive". It's a strawman and appeal to ethos. When someone uses any term with "phobia" for example, it's specifically designed to make the target look weak, by implying a motive based on irrational fear.
