absolutely wont tell you what my job is. if one of your top concerns is working from home, better get in an industry where essentially all business is conducted from a computer (i guess that’s most companies, but think more about how the business deals with customers). do you have a business degree? get in with one of the big consulting firms. they are huge, they have a ton of money, you will learn a lot (baptism by fire), they probably will have opportunities that are fucking sweet for someone in their 20s (international travel, work from home every day, really just pick what u want), and if you’re good at what you do they will line your pockets. that’s my advice if you are a recent grad and can land a job.

I'm mid 30's, no MBA, undergrad is engineering from a top school, master's is engineering from a top school. I built a business already, I laugh at MBA's to be honest although I've thought about getting one now just because why not. But it feels like a huge waste of time. With that said I could see something like AdWords manager at a large company being feasible with my background. Hard to say really. The thing is because I built my business from scratch I had to learn the basics of all kinds of things: sales, copywriting, blogging, inventory management, sourcing, logistics, international freight, design, packaging, product photography, it goes on and on. I did everything myself before I outsourced it or hired for it to ensure I understood the challenges and difficulty of every task. Most business want specialists and I'm at the point where I've done everything, but not any one thing solely as a specialist for years on end. It's a tough spot. Maybe I should consult or just focus on business, but part of me wants a desk job that I can clock in on and be salaried, just for a little more structure in my day. I can't travel though it has to be remote only, my business needs me close.
