I could be wrong but I remember hearing that psychopathy is generally not a hereditary trait, but it is a trait that causes you to treat the next generation in a way that will produce more psychopaths, who will in turn go on to raise more psychopaths. It doesn't just apply to one's offspring but any children that a psychopath might have authority over, whether it's a psychopath teacher or pedophile elite whose victims later become psychopaths themselves.
