I did and it was best thing I ever did. 380K virtually trouble free miles. NOTHING ever went "bad", only expected wear out parts like brakes, clutch(1), etc.

This car was fixed for about $500(by not taking it to a shop), insurance paid out $7,500, minus scrap of around $300 in order to keep it. According to the insurance company it was totaled. Minor frame damage, didn't even need to get the tires realigned.
