Syrian refugees completely changed the demographics of my community, and honestly it feels kind of weird walking in a park and being one of the only white people there in a sea of Syrian families. They don’t really assimilate either, and stay pretty much entirely within their own circle or community. I’m not a white nationalist and I’m not against immigration, but to feel out of place in the community your grew up in and lived almost your entire life feels strange to say the least.
