There are some pozzed right wing groups that came out of Euromaidan but Azov specifically has been no joke from the beginning and unconnected to any oligarchs, and they serve as a model for the rest of us across the world. Euromaidan was a strange revolution, and the right wing saw an opportunity to turn a western coup attempt into an independent Ukraine and that was their goal - oppose the weak corrupt liberal politicians the west wants and Ukraine is tired of and resist Russian control at the same time.
Azov has a mildly successful political party and their national guard unit is one of the best equipped units in all of Ukraine. They mobilize their people in protests pretty regularly, recently before the election against Poroshenko. They're pretty tight and have a practical platform.

WW2 was more a political war, Germany allied with Arabs and Turks and Georgians and sought to dismantle the USSR and give independence to it's people. Germans might think that they are better than everyone but the true fact is that Germans were the ones that liberated them and gave them an opportunity for better life and autonomy. Germans did not execute the Hungarians for being hunnic and non-European in origin, or bother the south slavs - this hyper racialism is propaganda and it would be pointless to do that especially in wartime to potential allies.
