Whats the goal that humanity is trying to reach...

Whats the goal that humanity is trying to reach? Everybody i've ever talked to about this just wants to reach maximum happiness by not having to work or do anything. Why shouldn't we just go back to a simpler way of life?

The thing is, once you go technological, you can't go back

The stars. To be like gods. Anything not toward that goal is pointless

Aristotle says a life of contemplation. Aurelius says a life of virtue. In reality we should help each other and ponder on how to help people come to terms and thus benefit our community for all.

Adam and Eve. Eating from the tree of knowledge will bring misery. If everyone knew how to make a nuclear weapon with home materials for example we'd be doomed. Probably what happened on Mars.

To reach 10th prestige

Believers or non-Believers? non-Believers believe they are their own God. They will burn in Hell.

Read scripture. The Book of Enoch. They're trying to Kill the most high ever since the tower of Babel. That was their goal. Kill Him.

>The iniquity and godlessness of Nimrod reached their climax in the building of the Tower of Babel. His counsellors had proposed the plan of erecting such a tower, Nimrod had agreed to it, and it was executed in Shinar by a mob of six hundred thousand men. The enterprise was neither more nor less than rebellion against God, and there were three sorts of rebels among the builders. The first party spoke, Let us ascend into the heavens and wage warfare with Him; the second party spoke, Let us ascend into the heavens, set up our idols, and pay worship unto them there; and the third party spoke, Let us ascend into the heavens, and ruin them with our bows and spears.

Remember that Nimrod was King.

And from the book of Jasher (book of the upright)

>And the Lord smote the three divisions that were there, and he punished them according to their works and designs; those who said, We will ascend to heaven and serve our gods, became like apes and elephants; and those who said, We will smite the heaven with arrows, the Lord killed them, one man through the hand of his neighbor; and the third division of those who said, We will ascend to heaven and fight against him, the Lord scattered them throughout the earth.

It's deeply personal for each. Mine is pretty general, love God, love your neighbor, preach the gospel.

I'm so over not working, it honestly blows. Been traveling the country playing music and it's super boring after awhile. Just wanna do something cool, work with my hands, and have a positive impact on the world around me. And eat a ton of Chick Fil A, Taco Bell, and Wild Game. And bread.

What is the maximum age potential of a human? Infinity. It can be achieved to live a simpler life depending on factors. To many to list. All I know is we do enjoy and celebrate our time off. If we could get a larger slice of that pie that would be brilliant. Why shouldn’t we? More time teaching the kids and not a teacher or random, pass down more skills and mould them from the parent.

Becoming self aware was the worst thing that happened to us.

I would think that humanity’s goal is to become immortal and reach the singularity, then spread through the universe and try to escape entropy by opening a portal to a dimension that is eternal and also have a real life anime waifu uwu

To be honest, I don't know what I want in life. All I know is that I want to be closer to God every day. I don't have any real aspirations besides "hopefully don't be this sad later in life". I've worked lots of different jobs, but never found one I didn't hate after a while. I think the whole "find a job you love" thing is a meme. Or at the very least, a luxury I can't afford. Idk.

I want the world to end

Me too, bud. But it just won't. That's what hurts the most.

That's the true hell. Just this world, going on and on and on, just getting a little bit worse with every year.

Sometimes I have these irrational fears like I won't ever die, and I'll have to be stuck here forever. Really fucks with my head

The 19th century was simpler way of life. And the fascination some here have with medieval times: before that, from the 1500s onward, till around the year 1800, life expectancy throughout Europe hovered between 30 and 40 years of age.
Most of America's founders were in their late twenties or thirties. Americans were very religious because life was so simple that there were about a dozen ways to die each week.
This "we've got to get ourselves back to the garden" and ennui young people have is hard to take.
Pull up your big girls' pants and get on with your lives.

To explore and to learn, and I guess take what we learn to improve ourselves and the world around us. Right now the two fronts of exploration we should be focusing on are the oceans and space. Both will give us access to knowledge and resources that will enable us to keep exploring and learning.

In some ways this is what gives me a sense of purpose sometimes. What if we did have a purpose? what if we were created with a specific job to accomplish? for this to be the case, something else would have to have created us. But this doesn't fix very much as it just makes us a cog in a greater machine which ultimately also has no purpose. Ultimate purpose in this sense of "having a final goal" doesn't exist in human rationality. However, if you look at the situation that we find ourselves in, that is, a collection of matter organized in some manner where its able to be aware of itself and capable of manipulating the environment around it in incredible ways, i think this is enough of a justification to continue advancing. I guess in short, the fact that we are able to have this discussion is quite incredible, and i think is valid reason to keep going. However, there are issues with this view of purpose, with the biggest being that this gives me a sense of purpose because it makes ME feel like something worth working towards, but not necessarily something that someone else may feel compelled to work towards. And even when going through this view of the world to myself, sometimes if i merely convey it in a different manner, i don't get the same satisfaction, making me doubt that it has any rationality behind it. I dunno, who cares, sometimes i just feel like fucking off to northern Canada and living off the grid.

Finding a way to survive or avoid the Heat Death should be our current “ultimate” goal, assuming that prediction holds up as we refine our scientific understanding of nature.

Oh my leaf amigo, I shall have you know that humanity is not a single entity and that different folk’s perspective of happiness is different than that of you, me, or that street squating diarrhea shitting pajeet. Pajeet might find his happiness in drowning his ass in a fountain of cow piss, while you might find yours sipping syrup while watching ice hockey and telling your rowdy or 56% neighbors how sorry you are. And I, myself might find my happiness sitting in 100 Celsius hot Sauna while drinking cheap homemade liquor and contemplating how to suicide myself and simultaneously invade Sweden.

Point is, happiness is different nigga

As long as our community is huwhite, right ?

But it isn't, there are scientifically proven environments where basically all neurotypical people will feel satisfied and happy. For example, living in a primitive environment, where all the work you do is to survive, will make you satisfied in life. It may be tough at first if transitioning from modern life, but once you transition it would be a enjoyable and peaceful life.

I thought Mars look like that because everyone went braaaaap

Everything is enjoyable and feels good once you transition and pass that first phase. Whatever in life you experience even unpleasant painful experience feels a bit durable once the first shockwaves dies down and our body builds how to adopted it. “Happiness” is just the same as everything else, and in fact, I do believe that happiness is overrated. I’d rather be right and do the right thing than be “happy”

You’ve never met a single person who enjoys their work? Do you live in some leaf public housing or something?

There are way too many people. For comparison, there are 740,000 elephants on Earth, and 200,000 brown bears.
