skill based games are best, DotA, counterstrike, basically anything that has no story and is a reflex and hand-eye coordination exercise wit little to no story, having said that, my favorite game of all time was baldur's gate that matches none of the criteria mentioned above, it's basically a book you play trough, doesn't require reflexes or hand-eye coordination but is heavy on the tactics especially when playing on hard or as an evil character which is harder on easy mode than playing a good/neutral character on hard

I'm not much of a gamer, but playing this shit is like an addiction, I just can't stop it. The graphics are so shit it hurts me eyes, but I don't care 'cause it's so fucking good and fun to play. I fucking love this. I always revisit it from time to time because of how incredibly the gameplay is, it's too bad the AI is so backwards and shitty, but whatever.

well did you read the rest of the post? I said specifically my favorite game was baldur's gate, also liked homm3 and fallout tactics very much, I like tactics based games very much too, but I have to disagree with adderal/mtn dew statement, yes tweeking can increase your reflex speed but it fucks up your hand-eye coordination and you need both to be effective in cs while DotA rexures both reflex, hand-eye coordination and tactical thinking from the first pick to the last item you buy you have to think very tactically about countering stuff, as far as MMOs go I'd like to add neverwinter as it has by far the best combat system of all MMOs, too bad it has shit servers
