If you consider something that is not reactionary to be left-wing, then you are correct on your analysis that fascism is left-wing. If you consider nationalism right-wing, then you are absolutely wrong in your analysis. If we use the weak terms of right and left, I would determine that fascism, despite being new, is inherently right wing, as it prides nationalism, hierarchy and in many cases racialism into its ideology.
