A global power can have an influence around the world. ie the UK could show up with troops or planes anywhere on the globe and influence a conlict.
A super power can decide conflicts around the globe. ie the US could show up with troops and planes anywhere on the globe and just overwhelm the local forces
btw for people wondering why the UK is above China or Russia it's mainly due to lack of naval access which means each of these countries could have less of an effect on say a war in South America militarily than the UK could. Obviously in terms of ground forces there isn't even a comparison.
