Bolsonaro during his campaign said he would defund the NGOs in the Amazon because they more harm than good.
Notice how they are blaming him for doing nothing when nothing can be done, it is a natural cycle. He implied yesterday that it is the NGOs that deliberately stated the fires.

back in 1990 we had the biggest amazonian fire season in history, shit burned for 3 or 4 months...the rains came late (end of oct) and ended the fire season, shit grows back quick, stop losing sleep over this fucking bullshit.

Every fucking year the area becomes dark with smoke, I have soot all over my house...they usually suspend flights in August because of the fires.
Back in the 1990s they made this stupid fucking propaganda piece ..asking the government to request the natives do rain dances to bring the rains (which were late that year)....and they danced and danced and the rain came! OMG a fucking miracle, bless the natives.
The joke is that the natives do the "rain dance festival" every year...they celebrate the coming of the rains after the dry period.
