Why does no politician propose exactly copying another countries system? It's all "oh Medicare for all!!" Where we try and reinvent the wheel. She has just completed radiation therapy.
The thing is, she has private health insurance through Kaiser. If she had state health insurance, or Obama care, she would have went to the county hospital and probably died 6 months later waiting to be diagnosed. State run healthcare here is a fucking joke. My job is working with Government employees on a daily basis, as a group they have no oversight or quality control. Once you get a government job it is hard as fuck to get fired, so they stop giving a shit about anything.

Exactly. The avg wage in Finland is roughly $40k/yr. Over a 40 year working life, you're talking $800k in taxes. Of course, this doesn't even address the different demographics and culture between the US and Finland that make direct healthcare cost comparisons fairly useless, as well.
