I’m not sure how much I make hourly but I’m really comfortable financially, and my wife’s been cutting my hair for years, and I cut all of my kids’ hair. I grow a fair portion of my own food, grow my own weed, buy everything in bulk when on sale and freeze it, only live on 80$ a month disposable income. The more money I make, the more frugal I live my life. I’ve embraced stoicism and it has made me a wealthy man.

It's madness. All of my friends went to college. And yet, their economic outcomes are quite disparate. The only friends I have who are successful in life majored in Finance and ended up working in finance, or they work in tech. That's it. Friends of mine who are lawyers just finished law school and are getting started, they are not guaranteed success, instead more are tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Same with people I know who went into medicine.
Otherwise everyone I knew pretty much works a job in the service sector or something weird making between $15 and $20 per hour. At least where I'm at in the midwest, it is clear there is minimal difference between high school grad and college grad in terms of career prospects. If you want to be successful beyond the Financial world you must go to graduate school and get a Master's or PhD after your bachelor's. I could have done this (still can technically) but I always thought people saying that was a meme. I figured with a college degree I could at least get a 50k or 60k per year job, but I'd only need a masters or something if I wanted closer to 6 figures.
