There are many different catechism texts. My parish (I hope) has two different ones, the SSPX church up north has a different one, and I don't know what the new order Parishes use.
It's best to be on the literal same page as your parish priests.

Most Catholic, myself included, don't actually read the Catechism believe it or not. Since a lot of us grow up in the faith there usually isn't a need. So to answer your question, I don't know.

Baptism (this one is self explanatory), confirmation - which is what you do what you reach the age of reason and reaffirm your baptismal vows, if you haven't done this you'll need to. And finally your first communion. First communion is immediately follows confirmation IIRC for adult converts.

In any case, none of this is really relevant right now as your visiting Church for one of the first times in your life. Just take it in and be in the moment - and most of all - cherish being in God's presence.

Latin mass is just more fitting. The key word is reverence, Novus Ordo mass lacks the sheer reverence for God that the Latin mass has.
