To make deadly radioactive hurricanes. Brilliant!
hahahahaha then they're just radioactive tropical storms
Is this any more retarded than the idea of global warming?
Bait, but would it work? Detonating some megatons directly in the storm would disrupt it, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it disperse?
Brilliant man, no one else is suggesting solutions to these issues. Let's see a Democrat try and come up with an innovative way to prevent hurricanes that isn't just copying Trump.
>implying this wouldn't work. it's basic psychics

You cannot stop a hurricane, but it might be possible to alter the trajectory if you can modify the temperature of the surrounding ocean early enough. Once it's nearby it's probably too late to change anything.
Who remembers the gorilla channel?
Sick slide thread
Exactly. Imagine what one could do if you could use advanced psychics!
they're 100 miles wide. i'm curious what would happen if you put one in the middle though

Why not? What's the data on this? Seems like it's worth a shot, these new hydrogen bombs don't even give off any fallout.
This is not a new idea you nitwit
The radioactive steam would be a problem downwind, and hurricanes have thousands of times more energy that a nuclear bomb.
not all in one place they don't
Nations test nukes all the time. If the do a small airburst above the clouds, it maybe could disrupt the wind pattern with extreme heat. Hurricanes already consist of water vapor, but maybe it can turn condensation into steam and disperse the incipient storm. Or it might fuck everything up and create a radioactive ubercane that destroys the Atlantic seaboard with 1,000 mile per hour winds, leaving radioactive fallout from Jamaica to New Hampshire.
There's really only one way to find out. Should we start small with tactical nukes and work up, or go big with with a tsar bomba and if that falls work our way down.
Everything is gonna fall apart someday, anyway. Why is everyone such a pussy these days. Do you want to live forever?
Apparently hurricane Katerina moved in a suspiciously straight line
gotta nuke something
I appreciate your love for the east coast, but maybe we could test this on a pacific side hurricane instead? Maybe out by one of those Atolls we still own?
Radioactive waters will be very pleasant this time of year. Thank you Mister Trump!

Based next Katrina will give all the nogs cancer and reduce national deficit.
And people say he can’t organize the debt.
fpbp.
The Guardian is not a news source at all.
Don't we have crazy non-nuclear bombs too?
I wonder what that would look like.
Jow Forums had the best solution.
There's more energy in a hurricane than any amount of nukes we'd want to throw at them. Realistically what you'd do is create a radioactive death storm.
>Nations test nukes all the time
Actually there is a test ban. Try again.
What we really need to do is find a way to tap into some of that energy
>"during its life cycle a hurricane can expend as much energy as 10,000 nuclear bombs!"
And that's one storm.
Yah sure you could maybe disrupt it and cause it to weaken and lose power. But it could strengthen, tighten back up, go through the eyewall replacement cycle, and basically back to how it was. Not all of the energy is in the eyewall, and the nuclear explosion only lasts so long, meanwhile you have all body of the storm still circulating.
gotta go back boomer
