This show was ahead of it's time.
Finally get around to watching Sopranos
he also wanted to fuck Adriana
Best show ever made, period
This show unironically would be cancelled in today's political climate. There's so many jew /black jokes. They even make fun of trannies and homos. I love this show so much. TONY is a true alpha
Ay Tone
Fuck off Laura
Funny I just started watching it this week too
The amount of racism on that show is sickening.
It only gets better, S1 is arguably the worst.
And that s a good thing
Tony was redpilled youtube.com
Doing Gods work
someone really needs to put up a fence
>sickening
"Sickening", "disgusting", etc. (in a figurative sense) is not an inherent property of anything. Try, "it sickens me". Ditto "problematic", "acceptable", etc.
Depends how you look at it. S1 is the most round imo, thought through from start to finish like no other. The series' strength in the long run is the character developments and stories which makes later seasons better tho
Thanks, now I will begin to watch the show.
Great show, absolutely phenomenal. Really highlights just how PC the USA has become in the ~20 years since its inception. Theres only one moment in the entire series that is trash, the last scene of the show. Goddamn what a terrible fucking ending.
If you want a laugh, listen to tony's accent early season one, then compare it to the later seasons. He was really over doing it at first.
Our friends with the funny sideburns
>who gives a shit about newark?
A.J. could actually be smart sometimes.
David Chase's Sopranos movie comes out next year, prequel starring James' son. My sister was a PA and said it actually looked good.
It's all uphill from there, friend. I won't spoil a thing, just grab some gobagool, bread, cheese, beer or wine, and marvel at what the predicted.
It's like a ball pit of red pills.
>The Sopranos
>good show
Lol they shoveled a ton of libshit into the scripts. Who cares if the nogs won the oppression olympics in a single episode? They had the same subversive template and themes as most shows in the early 2000's. So yeah, they were ahead of their time, in the venture of subversion. Let's see, just from my immediate memory:
>libshit precocious child whose constant finger-wagging acts as a kike proxy/moral arbiter of the show
>denigration of all sects of Christianity
>promotion of eastern mysticism and Confucius, specific rejection of Western Civilization and traditional archetypes (entire episode devoted to this)
>promotion of miscegeny
>promotion of adultery
>black doctor with a 300 IQ and a soul as pure as the driven snow
>protagonist in his role as father/husband is a bumbling idiot and is not respected by anybody in his family
>black inner city projects are where the evil white men escape to for refuge
>poor black kid chess genius, patiently teaches mobsters about military strategy
I could go on but I'm tired and have things to do. No the show was not based, it was subversive. The only thing that made it entertaining was the charming guido characters.
Oh and that whole Vito story arc towards the end of the series was an absolutely woke masterpiece. It could be a YouTube Exclusive and have its own pride parade, it was sooo ahead of its time! Truly progressive David Chase is a visionary.
I thought they made vito out to be a piece of shit, honestly it was hilarious.
>I'm doing a secret mission for the government!
It's the best show out there altogether. It's an absolute masterpiece of directing, and the characters are 3-dimensional and lifelike to the point where you have to wonder whether David Chase was writing fiction at all (I personally don't think he did). There was at least one legit mobster in the main cast ffs.
The cinematography is astonishing for a TV show, it runs like an 86-hour art film.
>pic and vid related
>youtube.com
THIS is ART.
Ralphie was my favorite character (besides T)
Do you think his sexual proclivities where a bit tacked on though? like almost of a "See he isn't normal!" as if to explain his recalcitrant behavior towards the custom of not being a complete asshole
>libshit precocious child whose constant finger-wagging acts as a kike proxy/moral arbiter of the show
You don't think that wasn't severely undercut by the fact that at no point does she disown any of it even when she had the means to do it?
>denigration of all sects of Christianity
Name a religion or philosophy that was portrayed in the show and wasn't denigrated by the characters who espoused it.
>promotion of eastern mysticism and Confucius, specific rejection of Western Civilization and traditional archetypes (entire episode devoted to this)
Again, the show consistently showed no matter what brand of bullshit the characters spouted, almost without exception, they were all hypocritical pieces of shit.
>promotion of miscegeny
charcoal briquette, really?
>promotion of adultery
Oh yeah, that turned out so well for everyone who did that. Or do you mean it was immoral to show adultery and full frontal nudity on a tv show about psychopathic, murderous criminals?
>protagonist in his role as father/husband is a bumbling idiot and is not respected by anybody in his family
As opposed to the wife being the smart, witty and respected one? Alright, I think you've made your point about being a tumblr grade moron. You're the conservative version of the retards who recently watched Friends and said it was sexist, racist and homophobic.
>Do you think his sexual proclivities where a bit tacked on though? like almost of a "See he isn't normal!" as if to explain his recalcitrant behavior towards the custom of not being a complete asshole
I think they took his psychopathy too far in general. When they introduced him he was fairly normal, just a wise-cracking dickhead. Then he becomes a massive sexual deviant, murders his pregnant girlfriend behind the Bing, and worst of all, torches Pie-O-My. I liked his personality otherwise.
Its funny I was thinking this the other day.
The show wasn’t about family, or America’s decline.
It’s actually about the decline of masculinity & it’s totally self aware. GAREE KEWPAH!
It’s like Tony is the last leader of men of the last man on Earth.
The show really is a tragedy based around the decline of men, and men being supplanted by weak effeminate victim cucks. It’s referenced many many times by many characters.
It was/pol/ before Jow Forums existed.
I felt like the guys returning from the can were meant as more like vehicles for showcasing all the brands of fucked up there existed. They were short-lived characters, so they had more freedom to explore the more degenerate parts that would be too explicit for the recurring characters (meaning it must've persisted throughout the show).
If you think about the guys who got back from prison, there's a common thread. Richie, Ralphie, Tony B, Feech, Phil, they were cracked up in a different way from the main cast.
I'm not sure why you think of family, culture, masculinity/men as separate entities.
>It’s like Tony is the last leader of men of the last man on Earth
You don't think of him as an antihero, do you? Tony was afflicted with the exact same full-blown degeneracy and hypocrisy as the people he so eagerly criticized. That's the whole joke.
Yeah that guy is a bit thick in the head, how could you not see Tony's attempt to be his ideal fail at key moments? Like when he beats up that muscle dude because he felt threatened for no real reason or his panic attacks. He IS aj
This guy fucks. Just like Game of Thrones, Sopranos was HBO subversion trash designed to get you hooked early with solid content in the first few seasons only to fully subvert everything and go full Wiemar by the end.
Tony's character is a great portrayal of someone afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder. Self-awareness isn't exactly their strong suit, even when glaring flaws are (in numerous occasions) pointed out to them. Even how the whole 'wooing the therapist' bit plays out - beginning from end - is textbook NPD. Delusions of grandeur, much? kek.
Yeah, when he beat up his driver, he was already losing his shit. Let's keep in mind this was the 6th season, the same one where he contemplated murdering one of his oldest friends over ALLEGEDLY betraying his trust by spilling the beans on an inappropriate joke - something that had blown over a year ago.
You don't think The Sopranos is a morality tale? Nigger you need to look closer.
Oh let it go man, It IS degeneracy, anything that trivializes the family and makes everyone into a hypocrite is subversive. You are probably young enough not to remember just how strict everything was until the last two decades
>libshit precocious child whose constant finger-wagging acts as a kike proxy/moral arbiter of the show
Except she's constantly exposed as being a naive hypocritical childish cunt
>let's dial up the purity standards to the point where any and all conversation about the topic is pointless
Feel free to fuck off at any point.
But.... S1 has based mikey palmice!!!
I'll fucking slit your throat you little fag, try living in the real world instead of a wattle and daub hut covered in reindeer skin
Prime example of the strong men, good times, weak men analogy.
Because effeminate men can have families.
In fact a lot of the redeeming factors of Tony and his family was the comparison with just how utterly shitty other families around them were, that were outside organised crime and thought they were better.
No Tony isn’t an antihero. He is an old fashioned man in a changing world that seeks to strip these type of men of their power- their masculinity.
This shit wouldn’t fly today at all. All types of gatekeepers would be in a frenzy over a scene like this.
youtu.be
You didn’t understand that scene.
If he didn’t do that to that juicer he’d be fucking dead.
Retard.
well yeah, he's a nigger, of course, what nigger doesn't want to fuck a hot white girl?
You sound like someone that likes to say "eat a bag of cement and hard up cunt" and yet cries every time he get's pissed. Irrationally lashing out unprovoked does not prevent a coup you
histrionic homosexual
No not at all. It was clearly a sign of him losing his mind. So paranoid that the guys there would think anything about it.
>finally get around to watching Sopranos
>been busy for 20 years
yeah ok noob
I loved how the whole thing concluded nigger acting dangerous badass n' shit, but going to court like bitches in the end.
correct
>thinking Tony's the good guy
>thinking Tony's an old-fashioned man and not a degenerate hopelessly trying to larp as one
>not realizing that from the pilot to the finale, everything the organization he lead touched was poisoned and/or turned to shit
>not realizing that's the whole point of the story
Yikes.
That’s wonderful.
He’s the head honcho in the mafia.
All the guys who work for him are killers.
Feech, Richie Aprile, uncle jnr, Phil leotarda etc, all wanted him dead for his position. Paranoia is a healthy tool in that line of work.
>youtu.be
Such a joke that that kid is supposed to an italian. You can tell by looking at him that he has english/irish ancestry.
op is pic related
Yeah but this was over nothing. The scene clearly showed him having a mental breakdown.
>thinking Tony's the good guy
>thinking Tony's an old-fashioned man and not a degenerate hopelessly trying to larp as one
>not realizing that from the pilot to the finale, everything the organization he lead touched was poisoned and/or turned to shit
>not realizing that's the whole point of the story
This is all true, but i think he's talking about the way tony saw himself.
>thinking Tony's the good guy
He was a good guy.
Many of his associates were much worse people. Narcisstic yes but that doesn’t make a man evil.
>thinking Tony's an old-fashioned man and not a degenerate hopelessly trying to larp as one
Yes I can just see him leading a pride parade in a gold sequinned dress.
>not realizing that from the pilot to the finale, everything the organization he lead touched was poisoned and/or turned to shit
And? People fail all the time. Tony learned from his failures that warrants respect.
>not realizing that's the whole point of the story
Thanks for your contribution
get aload of this kike. you are probably mad no kikes wrote it
He was put on the show to annoy viewers. Not for any other purpose. They would have gotten an actual actor if they had other plans for the character.
His own mother and blood uncle conspired to kill him for control.
Every season someone stepped up to try and take control from him.
Showing weakness could inspire any of the capos below him to make a move on his position.
Mental breakdown or not it was the right decision at the time for his character, what else could or would he have done?
I hear its still 1 of the top shows in Israel.
They made a great casting choice though. He was such a fucking brat I wanted to kill him myself half the time he was on.
>he doesn't think adultery, larceny, prostitution, fraud, loan-sharking, extortion, torture, money laundering and murder constitutes degeneracy or evil
Wow you're one edgy fella.
>He was a good guy.
>Protagonist=Good guy
You must be a boomer with a dichotomous view on absolutely everything, sort of like someone with BPD
>Sopranos
Stopped reading. Kys
>adultery, larceny, prostitution, fraud, loan-sharking, extortion, torture, money laundering and murder
There are legitimate jobs paid for with taxes or fees that do these very things in the name of public good.
Tony was honest about it.
He also did not torture people and took exception to things like beansies maiming, pieomy’s burning for insurance, he never raped law enforcement, he could’ve killed feech but had him exiled back to prison. As far as organised criminals go he was a saint.
I know your pride is hurt from before but settle down.
fuck off kike
>adultery, larceny, prostitution, fraud, loan-sharking, extortion, torture, money laundering and murder
>There are legitimate jobs paid for with taxes or fees that do these very things in the name of public good.
Go ahead and list an example of each and every one. I'll wait.
Fucking idiot.
Go bag your head you smarmy wannabe crim
In all of your responses to my points, you seem to completely miss the moral framing of the show. I get it, "charcoal briquette" made you laugh, but Tony was intended as the bad guy in that scene, which is why he was written as a caricature of a traditionalist oaf.
In the end, it was AJ that brought the family down. He told his grandmother the family secret.
>adultery

What a time to be alive, eh, you total fuckwit.
>This show was ahead of it's time.
you're acting like kikes being kikes is a new thing. they've been doing it for a looooong time.
but yeah, the sopranos was a great show.
and it also called out jews repeatedly, throughout the entire series. it's quite funny, too.
it was actually originally meant to be a comedy show, more than a drama.
there's also a scene where Tonys cousin from Italy, Furio, has a mini pissed off rant about liberals and communists, regarding columbus day.
talking about how it's a day of italian pride, and those faggots want to take it away from us, and how none of them would be there if it weren't for columbus.
there's moments like that through the whole show. also, racial realism.
there's a scene where tony riles up some niggers in the hood, saying everywhere they go they turn it into a shithole.
also his daughter is starting to date some lightskinned black guy, and brings him over to the house.
tony basically tells him to fuck off and keep his nigger ass away from his daughter :D
there's another scene with some young dumbass wannabes who pull a gun on some spics and threaten to kill them, for "being disrespectful". the issue? they were in some italian cafe and speaking spanish. the lads said they're in america and should be speaking fucking english.
great show :)
Everything points to him being killed in the very final scene of the series.
Settle down
I see. So basically no matter how the characters react to race-mixing, the show promotes it either explicitly or through reverse psychology. A truly enlightened response to 1/6 points brought up.
>promotion of miscegeny
it did the complete opposite of this several times
>guido
I don't think you know what that word means
>224433757
Your post was so shitty it doesn't even deserve a (You).
he was born under a bad sign, idiot. tony dindu nothin
Or what? you'll have a heart attack? go to bed granddad
Nobody’s falling for your jewish lies. At least get the meme right
Did you see Dr. Melfi's milkers?
This show wouldn't be aired today
>adultery, larceny, prostitution, fraud, loan-sharking, extortion, torture, money laundering and murder
I’ll give you the short hand. All the shit Jews do, but you know this already don’t you Herschel.
Settle petal
it was actually accurately based on the real life new jersey mob and what they were doing.
almost exactly so.
there are even FBI audio recordings of phone called between the real life jersey mob dudes, talking and laughing about the show amongst themselves and saying how close the depiction is. they loved it.
You know what these dagos and you have in common? both of you are Niggers. Why don't you get another Ned Kelly tattoo with your next newstart payment tell us all about how you are mates with bikies
You don't get it, you're a simpleton who thought he was watching a comedy.
Nope. The scene with meadow's half-jew, half-black boyfriend framed Tony as the bad guy. It's not a matter of how you felt about the scene, its about the intent of the writers. The show being intended for an average IQ audience, the framing is quite obvious.
yeah, that's what killed Sopranos for me. Not that they did the story, it's that they turned it into Brokeback Sopranos for most of the season. Nothing else got that many episodes dedicated to it, and it had so little consequence
>durrrr I google'd da word
I can do you one better: I know how the word is used.
Settle down. No one is attacking you.
How about that episode where they make fun of the anti-defamation league and other "woke" racial groups. Sopranos was the last good show on tv.
I'm calling it a morality tale full of degenerates poisoning everything and everyone around them, and you tell me I thought it was a comedy? Yeah, clearly I'm the simpleton in this conversation.
t. faggot so deep in the closet he doesn't know he's in one
The libshit reveals himself. Never fails.
