And a referendum would mean a change of your constitution, meaning that first 5/6 of our parliament have to vote yes, and then it needs to be sent to a public vote, and then probably less than 1% of all Danes would vote yes to become American. Fish is a given, they/we are already tapping that resource. Rare earths, uranium and plenty of other metals. Very likely. ''Nasty'' conditions to mine them in. But valuable stuff for sure. But I'm not sure where you got the oil thing from. The place was more lush than now, before the peraistant ice ages. But not much of a carbon sink (from what we've found).
