To be fair, alt hype does not debate anyone in person and his reasoning is petty sound - debates don't really get at what idea is better it has more to do with who is better at debate tactics (aka why desTINY has a career). What a live debate comes down to is who has the better verbal skill (which talking over the other person and usually fallacies effectively) and preparation for the topics, and the person who "wins" is usually just the person who has the most fans in the audience. It's not an intellectual dialogue like most people seem to think.
