in all seriousness though, gun violence is way too overhyped by the media. Mass shootings only kill on average 0.0017% of Americans each year. Over half of those are school shootings, a "school shooting" being classified as either a discharge of a gun on a school campus or at least one injury. Most school shootings are discharges (accidental or not) or at least one injury or no casualties. Banning guns would only punish the vast majority of responsible gun owners.
