The rain forest is pretty important for overall oxygen concentration. It´s not an irellevant thing.

I have to say aswell though that forest fires are necessary for the forest to regrow itself. A lot of people don´t know that. When trees die they just stand there like tinder ready to burn. When they burn they turn to wood ash which helps new trees and stuff to grow.

It does depend on which kind of forest you are talking about however.

I think the climate is likely changing all the time. What I do know is this: Antarctica is not melting down. Greenland is not melting down. The arctic is not melting.
