The historical regions of Romania I've visited to include Moldova and wallachia are all poor, have shitty architecture, are poorly managed, and full of gypsies.
Then I go to transylvania to visit. I find out the history of transylvania and notice that Saxons and austro Hungarians built alll the beautiful architecture and Romania didnt. It's also richer and more money is there, with better managed politics.
The rest of Romania, wallachia and Moldova is a poorly run shit hole.
So why do Romanians think they own transylvania? By simply moving there? They didn't build anything...
Do you have pics from there if you really did take a trip? Nothing to doxx yourself obviously, just curious what it looks like. I find the name interesting since it roughly translate from Latin as "place to cross the forest." I'd love to know more about Romania history, the Iron Guard, etc... Any recommendation on books?
There's a few good YouTube videos on Vlad the Impaler and Michel the brave. These were the high points on Romanian history and it's been downhill from there.
