I've grown to despise tipping. The last straw for me was when every single place I picked up take out from started making me write in the total and sign the ticket. Even some fast food places have started making people sign. This is not necessary it's just blatant fishing for tips. I refuse to give these assholes anything if I'm not sitting down at a table.

There is no reason to tip for take out service, but I agree it’s bullshit they phish for them. I noticed this at a local meat market that also sells made to order sandwiches. If I just order a pound of sausage, they ring it up without the tip option. If I order a sandwich, they give me the option to tip.
