dumber kids get, better of my prospects are
fuck the flynn effect

What the fuck is that system. I don't know the name, but I was taught to break up the decimals and add them together individually.

So that's how the boomers did it... Fuck, they ruined our education systems to secure their place on top.

At some point you aren't doing math in your head anymore, you're just mechanically applying an algorithm.

Stop importing shitskins. Innate abilities have more impact on quality of education than schooling system as long as latter isn't completely retarded.

Which will be a problem when these kids are out in the real world and can't do basic math problems without a notebook and crayons.

Looks kinda like some common core retardation

It's almost like they are trying to get rid of critical thinking skills.....

They literally started teaching people a different order of operations to fuck up the ability to understand what mathematical foreFATHERS taught us.

That method only seems practical for numbers with small digits.
i.e 31234 not 8794

Bingo.

They are destroying math and science like they destroyed our culture.

Most high IQ kids can get good at math with very little effort. Even if their education is shit. Also, if you’re decent at math then using a system for simple things like 123*321 will only slow you down.

For kids who are dumb/ bad at math you need lots of discipline, repetition and hard work. It’s that simple. No fancy teaching tools are needed. That’s why some poor shithole countries have better average math scores than some wealthy countries.

as we move into a 100% service economy, we need workers to be as dumb as possible so they'll be happy with 3rd world wages. numath is an excellent way to create a generation of slaves.

That's what higher math is, just algorithms that people memorize.

>Calc 1
Memorize the various methods of taking derivatives depending on the equation type you have

>Calc 2
Memorize the various methods of taking integrals depending on the equation you have and some series and sequence solving methods

>Calc 3
Same as calc 2 but with triple integrals and some more series and sequences

>Linear algebra
Memorize how to manipulate matrices, take the determinate, some calc mixed in with matrices

>ODE
Memorize what methods to use based on the equation you have, a 3rd grader can do this it's so simple

>PDE
Memorize how to convert PDE into ODE, there's literially like 2 equations you can use depending on what power the PDE is raised to. The hardest part is getting trivial solutions but you'll never be tested on which lamda is correct so it's over all really easy

>All other higher math
Same shit as above but incorporates methods of each, the dumbest class i ever took was physical chemistry/quantum mechanics. The math is all trivial all you do is repeat the same process with the variables provided.

What was the smartest class?

It only becomes impractical if you insist on drawing out the grid - provided you can keep track of the logic.
This method is basically babby's first experience dividing one large tasks into a series of smaller ones.

What do you mean by smartest? Hardest?

This
Americans don't want to be scientists or engineers because they work. They want to be a pro gamers, beauty influencers, rappers, e-celebs, Snapchat sluts, grow weed and live off of welfare. They see no value in math. You'll hear it a million times over in Western schools "what will I ever use this for?" And realistically, they won't.

It's kind of an interesting method imo

All of your social programs maximize the production of morons. Stop the social programs and the math scores will improve.

Also, multiplying two four digit numbers (or higher) is rarely needed in modern society because of excel, calculators etc. If you can do things like 123*321 in

Well sure I guess, you said physical chemistry was the dumbest so I just went for the opposite of that.

deductive* kek

this is what common core is doing to burgerland

most interesting to me was linear algebra. orthonormal bases etc were enlightening

It's made by a white hating kike
youtu.be/LQ8Nr3_2724
Why don't you americans do anything about this

I imagine that it's designed as a teaching tool, not as a pen and paper replacement for a calculator. I mean, it's just drawn out column multiplication. Dumb kids have a very hard time processing abstract concepts. Imagine learning about transformations without ever seeing any visual representations. That's how dumb kids feel in elementary math classes.

Math wise a lot of people tend to struggle in calc 2 but i thought it was pretty easy, all other classes were also pretty easy. Linear algebra and PDE have some harder concepts near the end of the class but those lead into other subjects. The math class i think i learned the most from was the PDE class since PDE are very important in most Engineering courses. The class that i actually think i learned the most from isn't even a math oriented class, it was Organic Chemistry and this class makes you think in 3rd space. You have to construct molecules using various available methods, solvents, and solutes and there's no one right answer it's a journey since there's many way to do it but you have to do it correctly. You have to account for how the molecule is in 3D space and if you use a solute and it makes an enantiomers of the molecule you wanted to make you get it wrong. Very interesting courses and overall after a year of Organic chemistry you start to see the world differently.

can anyone tell me how this video will end white privilege? How will common core affect to people's brain? I'd rather stick with the old ways of mathematics, not this common core shit.

It'll stop white parents from helping their kids do homework.

>How will common core affect to people's brain?
FOLLOW THE METHOD. METHOD IS GOOD. ALL ELSE BAD. WE KNOW BEST. TRUST THR METHOD. THE METHOD IS TRUTH. DO NOT FALL FOR FALSEHOODS

Funny enough I agree, I also liked the latter parts of orgochem, but nomenclature is obviously always a pain in the ass. I don't get why people struggled so much with nmr, could do it under a minute in my head, but we had these larges tables we were meant to fill in in the process.

I get it but how does this translate to other bases, and how do you apply this idea to completing the square or factoring. How does this work with multiplication of fractions(division). It’s kinda missing geometry.

>independent thought alarm

Its not that we cant do it were just lazy and math is boring

Invent rewarding games for them to play that unconsciously teach them mathematical principles without making it pedantic. Such may revolve (symbolically and indirectly) around topics such as "equality", "variables", "constants", "identity", "elements", "symmetry", "inverses" and "operators". Just make it some kind of game where if they play with it long enough, they "get it" because a reward is instilled even if they "get it" at random. Over time, these principles will be embedded into their minds as sort of "Platonic engrams" which will be great for them in the future to intuitively understand mathematics and apply themselves without intimidation or undue difficulty.

>smooth brain cope

It’s how japs do basic maff

That's what Pokémon cards were

99% of people don't need anything past the most basic algebra. All basic functions can be done on a phone. The 1% who actually do any form of intermediate or advanced mathematics, are smart enough to figure out how to multiply without fucking lines.

Spectroscopy as whole was pretty easy, i don't really remember GC but IR and NMR were really easy. Nomenclature is easy most of the time unless you're given a monstrosity to name, inorganic nomenclature is really easy though. Fun class and the labs were pretty cool too since we actually got to make real stuff.

While I agree there is a sinister purpose for common core - old world math did not save our boomer parents from being literal retards and allowing the current legislation that opened the floodgates.

In Australia the very year the first wave of boomers were able to become majority voters, (Voting is compulsory here and carries fines and criminal charges of repeat offenders), they immediately favoured politics that would have been catastrophic politically only the previous 2 years. Specifically the beginning of the anti war movement here and protesting Nam, that had majority support by the average adult who saw the whole thing as at least simply supporting our allies and upholding our treaty with the US all the way to another opportunity to show our skill and bravado at war.

Something happened to the boomers that despite being cognizant of the importance of ANZAC culture and legacy, they absolutely despised Nam once the were at risk of actually fighting in it and perhaps the lottery should shoulder most of the blame. However it was not widespread like in the US and amounted to a trivial portion of the population being called up. Which was only required because for the first time in our history we did not have overwhelming volunteers.

Every major political change and shift to the left and marxist ideals occurred to generation who grew up KNOWING commies were bad. One of the greatest scandals in this country was two soviet agents openly kidnapping a soviet spy who was supposedly seeking refuge here and half our press documented the whole thing live.

btw what's your major?

This looks really useful for multiplying large numbers.
Unless you can multiply 36247 by 98443 in your head.

What in the actual fuck is that?

>Something happened to the boomers that d
Well shit they were the first fresh generation after ww2. They got jewed the hardest and fasted

It's not taught in common core because it is actually useful and much easier than the traditional method, not harder.

the order of operations is wrong. It's left to right in the real world.

yeah try doing that by hand regardless of the method used.

looks alright to me

How the fuck is drawings out 50 lines, and counting up all the points of intersection to get an answer useful?

Good luck remembering your 10,000 times tables.

> takes freshman engineering prereqs
> "higher math is just algorithms"

I did a math degree and TA'd briefly. Anyone who grew up here is always brain dead at math, no matter their race/religion. Majority of first year calculus students cannot add/subtract fractions and most cannot solve problems that they havent been explicitly taught how to solve. It's a fucking disaster.

Hello Common Core!

PDE is not a freshman Prereq mate

lol mathlet dumbgineer thinks math is solving equations. mathematicians do nothing but cringe when they read your amateur user-tier drivel. you sound like a teenage girl

Highschool Math is too abstracted. All you learn is that you do this order of steps for these numbers for some reason. It's meaningless on paper. At least introduce some theory or more constructive problem solving.

>learning to draw lines to do math
>confusing them from actual trigonometry
>literal niggers are doing this so they can learn
its ok. most people cant even do trig anyway.

Math people, i would like to get better at this. Im looking at some prealgebra, algebra, and geometry books on shoppinhsite, do you have any opinions or recommendations? Would also like arithmetic for the kid.

Tyvm.

>how does this translate to other bases
You are the brainlet if you don't see how.
>how do you apply this idea to completing the square or factoring
In the same way you would if you learned to multiply by hand via long multiplication (which this line shit basically is).
>How does this work with multiplication of fractions(division).
You add the floating point.
>It’s kinda missing geometry
It has nothing to do with geometry.

Quite simply the only logical explanation I can see is the same thing I experienced in school, my cousin is now going through and so did my mother; Teaching the vast majority is infinitely easier if you have VERY low standards to achieve. Most teachers seem to be able to live with this idea by thinking the gifted (whites) will look after themselves at least I hope that is the case.

We do not have Negros but I grew up in a majority arab area of Sydney. They are incredibly co-sanguine and it becomes rather obvious when put into any academic test. Almost half could barely read better than mister men books (books for pre school kids) and I know this because my mother was part of a system where after school parents would volunteer to teach them in the library. Islanders were just as bad. Math, Science, English, History, Geography, Music - were all alien to them. Once we were old enough to choose our own classes in high school outside the mandatory English and math, non Aussies excepting Asians were never present. They self segregated.

Unfortunately despite this our curriculum was so far behind two transplant students one from Hong Kong and one from FUCKING WAR TORN SERBIA who both came here not speaking English at all, at 11 years old - ended up doing 0 math work in class or homework for 4 full years while maintaining 99 or 100% test scores until year 11 or senior year for you yanks.

Whites still peeled ahead mostly due to genetic potential but capping them at the knees is the curriculum and textbooks/style of education of which the vast majority never recover. That is how it removes white privilege - by gimping white kids to the point the difference is arbitrary. Kikes are fighting biology though that is why their methods and sabotage are becoming increasingly unorthodox.

Cope, math isn't hard any poo can memorize the equations and ace every course. Granted i'm not a math major but i took basically all math except abstract courses and it just came off as easy memorization to me. Now the only people i actually consider intelligent are the Anglos, French, Germans, and Ruskies that developed and derived the original equations but learning about these derivations is easy and just memorization.

You have literally no idea what you're talking about and it's clear you've never done real math. Seems like you did low level applied math and definitely took the dumbed versions. High level math is all about rigorous proof. Don't try to talk like you know what math is until you've at least taken real analysis or abstract algebra, let alone something like measure theory or galois theory.

My point is they did have this retarded modernist approach to mathematics and learned as their parents did for the most part. The fall of mathematical literacy is a symptom not a cause.

if you're looking into it you're doing it wrong.
only way to learn math is to do it and keep doing it until you FUCKING HATE IT.
then it becomes easy after that.

Deport the coloreds

You only need to know multiplication from 0 x 0 to 9 x 9 to solve any multi-digit multiplication problem.

>muh real math
>muh rigorous proof
>muh abstract math courses
Imagine getting a degree that all you can do with is teach others trying to get your degree. Cope with the fact that everything you struggled to learn can be easily memorized and done by children if needed. My linear algebra professor taught her 11 year old son to do all undergrad level math and was teaching him grad school level math.

PDE are Junior level, applied PDE goes into later junior and senior year.

That is a feature of the plan. Not a bug. Accept your life as an Epsilon and take your fucking soma.

in Japan kids use the abacus and its amazing the amount of math they can do in their head.

Any decently rated book on amazon will suffice. Those subjects are long known and basic, dont worry about which book you get but just learn the material.

>real math
So algebra and calculus isn't real math?
I'm thinking you are the retard.

>The fall of mathematical literacy is a symptom not a cause.
Well yea

Another "education is a failure" psyop. Multiplication of numbers in the tens and hundreds techniques are varied when taught to elementary school kids before giving them the real way to do it.

>im too dumb to realize all the math i do relies on all that abstract stuff and rigorous proof and that it took someone to discover it in the first place and will be needed for newer things
you're probably a chink or pajeet who never had an original thought in his life.

>abstract algebra
Fucking leaf you should kys and your gender studies

>
>the order of operations is wrong. It's left to right in the real world.
it's FOIL faggot.

>999 x 999

>Everything is okay. Don't worry. It is all a psyop.
t. Actual psyop

If you're just plugging numbers into formula or doing basic operations, you're not doing real mathematics. you're doing arithmetic.

wat

Might as well do 21, 23 times and add it.

It's also getting browner and browner. Correlation perhaps?

You don't need to draw all that shit to multiple 21 with 23.
Just multiply 23 with 20 and add another 23.

You sound like a dumbass engineering student.

Maximum Tier Happening Chimpouts to ensue

>FOIL
Brainlet detected. LIOF is the proper way

>thinking someone read your post

Attached: 1549395722465.jpg (213x217, 6K)

See I said exactly the same thing, however 99% of students don't even pay attention to derivations as it's not needed. It's already been derived long ago, all that's ever tested are the applications of these preexisting formulas. That's why i'm saying that upper division math is just memorizing since that's the way unis teach the courses. If people were actually tested on deriving and conceptually understanding the material then almost nobody would pass.

You sound like an autistic unemployed math major.

By enforcing the same standards that where required only 30/40 years ago. Accepting that a large percentage will fail. Noticing the patterns between failed students and passed students. Followed by an intellectual caste system, with social benefits enabling indirect eugenics.

>No child support for the brainlets
>Free birth control for brainlets
>Tax incentives for high intellect families.
Etc

I'm a Datascientist after finishing my M.S. in Mathematics. Engineers I've met have always been brainlets when it comes to math, so the only courses they take are the ones that only require them to memorize things.

I did. Go away you tool

I remember learning that bullshit technique where you separate out the numbers in each column and multiply them with the corresponding column number then adding up the results and at the age of 15 I was doing 3 and 4 digit multiplication no problem. This actually saved me in college at the times where I have forgotten calculators for quizzes and one TA even asked if I was cheating because he didn't recognize my math bullshit and thought I was making it up to cover for cheating.

Beat them

>M.S. in Mathematics
How absolutely useless, you should have gone for a pHd. Are you one of those smart but lazy types? At least us Engineers get Masters worth something besides the paper they're printed on.

kek yet we make 2x your salary while also making actual contributions in the world. Everything around you was deigned and built by engineers while you sit in a cubical waiting to be replaced by AI or H1b in a couple decades.

This is a dumb way of saying that
23*21=
20*20
+3*1
+1*20
+3*20.
-------------
This is the same type of formula that plagues common core where a simple and logical task is replaced by a formula and useless overcomplicated jargon

Western generations get dumber and dumber as more and more sub 80 IQ darkies are brought into their countries.
