The fact that none of the Dems talking about free college are willing to admit that most of the costs are from scam for-profit colleges (like the one Sanders' wife ran) shows that it's just a bullshit issue. I'm against free college, but it wouldn't be so bad IF it was a free two-year community college system, followed by a further free two years at a public state college (in-state tuition only) for those that are A-students. But no Dem is willing to admit that the majority of college degrees issued are total scams.

I had free college btw, I stayed in-state, my parents were poor which meant free federal stipdends, and I won state scholarships. Free college, if necessary at all (and it isn't), should be limited to deserving kids, not retards.

We have so many benefits for black students that the first two years is basically free here if they are state residents. The problem is that there is actually a lack of valid black applicants because they cannot get a reasonable SAT score, have extensive criminal records, or have terrible high school grades. And yes, they need to have graduated high school despite some blacks actually complaining 2 years ago that college should be available for them even though they are high school dropouts (forced out due to discrimination). Well, college and its meritocracy of grades is just going to be more systemic racism in their face when they have to perform on exams. There's no automatic 50% score awarded just for signing the name on the exam paper.

Here in the Netherlands only about 20% of the population has followed a high school / middle school that gives access to a theoretical bachelor + master study.
Another 20% did a high school / middle school that gives access to a bachelor of applied sciences.
60% does not get access to university at all.

The 60% goes to a school to learn a trade.

You really are a faggot. I left off sales tax, property tax, and host of other taxes that are hidden in items you buy because they more than make up for the effect of deductions. There are variations in these from location to location, but the point still stands. You are paying closer to 50% than not if you actually make money in the US, the taxes are just broken up in way that obscures the issue.

They are ignoring payroll taxes, state income taxes, sales taxes, etc. Are those also left off of the European numbers?
