We as humans are social creatures. We are highly adept at tool use, so much so that we have harnessed electrical energy and thereby used it to create a computational tool. We then interlinked those computers by various implements allowing for the seemingly instantaneous transfer of information from one side of the globe to another. We saw that as a need that needed fulfilling.
However, computers serve little use removed from their niche environment. Per se, a computer in the stone age is worthless aside from the scavenging of the hard drive for arrowheads and the wires for latching.
