I get this, but they missed that it was contaminated at first, obviously their initial testing was not rigorous enough.
I take it you think modern science has a thorough understanding of human immune function and disease epidemiology, as well as microbiology, genetics, etc... so that they can craft these modern vaccines that will be safe and with no unintended consequence!

Merck's MMR vaccine doesn't work as advertised.
The mumps component doesn't do what they say at all.
Mumps, for those who don't know, can cause sterility if contracted in adulthood.
Typically, in males, it causes sperm counts to drop for a year or two, then they recover to only about 50% of what they were.
The MMR was introduced in 1973.
Also since 1973, sperm counts in western men have fallen by about 50%.

It's all of them. Chicken pox, Mumps, Measles, German Measles. They can have serious and lasting effects on adults, but not so much on children.
They're all diseases that children can survive with just a week off from school.
Of course, with both parents having to work to provide for the household, that's a huge imposition these days.
