you can believe in man made climate change (if you've watched the rate of temperature change vs historic average you'll notice just how fast the increase is, yes, the temperature does go up and down over the eons but it's much slower, since industrialization it's gone up much much faster, we were in a mini ice age when it started about 2 degrees C under average and now we're about 2 degrees over average in the span of 150 years when usually a swing like that takes 10's of thousands of years), and not think that carbon taxes or credits are the way to solve it. We have to invent our way out of it is the thing. Taxes and banning isn't the right way to go about it, but creating green energy jobs (and not ignoring nuclear power, which is a mistake when it comes to things like the green new deal) and gradually transitioning from fossil fuels to cleaner energy and more efficient engines is the way to go. We also can't just do it ourselves, China, India, and most the rest of the industrialized world have to do it too. But a gradual transition is going to be a lot more feasible than slapping a tax on everything and breaking the economy.
You don't have to be a fucking moron ostrich with their head in the sand pretending things aren't changing for the worse climate wise in order to be sensible about it.

The only solution for managing the one shared resource, the atmosphere, is to have a single authority deciding who can operate industry, and how much carbon they can emit into the atmosphere. Competing nations will never cooperate on this if it means economic activity and industry must be idled for the sake of the atmosphere. Hence, another reason to seize the means of production.

IMO, climate change is more a way to neutralized any chance of a reactionary environmentalism to grow. There are tons of subjects on which everybody could agree when it comes to ecology: grow things locally, stop offshoring industrial sectors, hang every motherfucking politicians and stars using private jets etc... But by making it all about something vague, on which IPCC have been caught telling BS, they are sure that people will play red vs blue around the subject, instead of trying something... different.
