Hurricane Dorian is currently at 85 mph sustained winds, expected to quickly reach Cat 2 Hurricane status after it clipped Puerto Rico into mostly open waters & sits 370 miles from the southeastern Bahamas. As of now, almost the entire Florida peninsula is inside the forecast cone & effects are expected to be felt sometime Saturday night in eastern Florida, with landfall late Sunday/early Monday morning. The recent slowing of the storm coupled with the now minimal land mass interference means its expected to reach at least Cat 3 before Florida landfall. Some models are forecasting possibly higher into Cat 4 territory. The current tract is uncertain.
If it's strong it looks like it will miss Florida. Best bet for a happening may be small hurricane passing over southern tip into the Gulf for rebirth.

With luck we find out what happens when a Cat 5 hurricane gets infected with Hep A and flesh eating bacteria once it hits Tampa Bay and pummels the entire state of Florida with its disease-infected 240 mph torrents of rain.
It's going make two Florida landfalls. Once on the Atlantic Coast then again along the panhandle where I am. Hopefully, digits confirm the accuracy of my prediction.
