Germans had better air force, better weapons, and better tanks. Russia just had a bunch of Mongolian volunteers and cheap Tommy Guns.
Germany was vastly superior than Russia in WWII
Based Khans will always triumph over german soibois
Yes but they had more men, oil, and allies
>Germans had better air force,
no. Germans just attacked first.
>better weapons,
no. Germans just attacked first.
>and better tanks.
no. Germans just attacked first.
>Russia just had a bunch of Mongolian volunteers
>volunteers
lol
>more allies
still peddling this nonsense to save face huh?
Unfortunately as Stalin said, quantity is a quality of it’s own.
This is not yet the right time to speak of the planning and direction of this campaign. However, in a few sentences I would like to say something about what has been achieved [so far] in this greatest conflict in history. Because of the enormous area involved as well as the number and size of the events, individual impressions may be lost and forgotten.
The attack began at dawn on June 22 [1941]. With dauntless daring, the frontier fortifications that were meant to protect the Soviet Russian build-up against us from surprise attack were broken through. Grodno fell by June 23. On June 24, following the capture of Brest-Litovsk, the fortress [there] was taken in combat, and Vilnius and Kaunas [in Lithuania] were also taken. Daugavpils [in Latvia] fell on June 26.
The first two great encirclement battles near Bialystok and Minsk were completed on July 10. We captured 324,000 prisoners of war, 3,332 tanks and 1,809 artillery pieces. By July 13 the Stalin Line had been broken through at almost every decisive point. Smolensk fell on July 16 after heavy fighting, and German and Romanian units were able to force their way across the Dniester [river] on July 19. The Battle of Smolensk ended on August 6 after many encircling operations. As a result, another 310,000 Russians were taken as prisoners. Moreover, 3,205 tanks and 3,120 artillery pieces were counted -- either destroyed or captured. Just three days later the fate of another Soviet Russian army group was sealed. On August 9, in the battle of Uman, another 103,000 Soviet Russian prisoners of war were taken, and 317 tanks and 1,100 artillery pieces were either destroyed or captured.
based stalin quote. still fuck stalin tho.
Nikolayev [in the Ukraine] fell on August 13, and Kherson was taken on the 21st. On the same day the battle near Gomel ended, resulting in 84,000 prisoners as well as 144 tanks and 848 artillery pieces either captured or destroyed. The Soviet Russian positions between the Ilmen and Peipus [lakes] were broken through on August 21, while the bridgehead around Dnepropetrovsk fell into our hands on August 26. On the 28th of that month German troops entered Tallinn and Paldiski [Estonia] after heavy fighting, while the Finns took Vyborg on the 20th. With the capture of Petrokrepost on September 8, Leningrad was finally cut off from the south. By September 16 bridgeheads across the Dnieper were formed, and on September 18 Poltava fell into the hands of our soldiers. German units stormed the fortress of Kiev on September 19, and on September 22 the conquest of [the Baltic island of] Saaremaa [Oesel] was crowned by the capture of its capital.
And now came the anticipated results of the greatest undertakings. The battle near Kiev was completed on September 27. Endless columns of 665,000 prisoners of war marched to the west. In the encircled area, 884 tanks and 3,178 artillery pieces were captured. The battle to break through the central area of the Eastern front began on October 2, while the battle of the Azov Sea was successfully completed on October 11. Another 107,000 prisoners, 212 tanks and 672 artillery pieces were counted. After heavy fighting, German and Romanian units were able to enter Odessa on October 16. The battle to break through the center of the Eastern front, which had begun on October 2, ended on October 18 with a success that is unique in world history. The result was 663,000 prisoners, as well as 1,242 tanks and 5,452 artillery pieces either destroyed or captured. The capture of Dagoe [Hiiumaa island] was completed on October 21. The industrial center of Kharkov was taken on October 24. After very heavy fighting, the Crimea was finally reached, and on November 2 the capital of Simferopol was stormed. On November 16 the Crimea was overrun as far as Kerch.
As of December 1, the total number of captured Soviet Russian prisoners was 3,806,865. The number of destroyed or captured tanks was 21,391, of artillery pieces 32,541, and of airplanes 17,322.
>occupied countries and German puppet states
>allies of Germany
Pick one Ivan
During this same period of time, 2,191 British airplanes were shot down. The navy sank 4,170,611 gross registered tons of shipping, and the air force sank 2,346,180 tons. Altogether, 6,516,791 gross registered tons were destroyed.

A puppet state is an ally. And not all of them were occupied, a lot of them just joined the axis on their own. Also Japan is missing from that picture but they were an ally too.
Germany should have let Ukraine hold the eastern front and withdrew to secure their western front from allied assault
Japan hadn't even finished in China by 1945. They signed a non-aggression pact with the Soviets.
What a shame they didn't have such a strategy mastermind back then
Germans were ditching the MP40 for the PPsH.
What a shame for Ukraine, they have a kike PM and a kike President. Ukrainians would do anything to join Germany's EU.
Yeah that's all world war 2 was. Write a book.
Yeah, what's your point?
Yeah, after attacking them and fighting a border conflict on the eve of ww2. So they definitely helped the germans prior to Barbarossa.
Also they were planning to open a second front against the USSR but scrapped it after being displeased with german performance.
Ukraine was completely raped in the interwar period. What could a disorganized state that lost almost 10 million to starvation and hadn't existed for decades muster for defence? They would've just broken through even easier. The war was already lost at that point, it's even worse to rely on any fucking eastern state to defend your border for you,
I was just making a point. These are sad times.
THE SLAVIC BVLL BTFO FEMININE GERMAN ONIONS BOYS. LMAOO
THE SLAVIC RACE ARE THE REAL ARYANS!
GERMANS ARE SWARTHY MANLET CREATURES
>better air force
debatable
>better weapons
eh
>and better tanks
absolutely not lmao
The allies had most of the planet in their alliance, Germany only had a couple shit tier allies who were actually a detriment to their war effort in the case of japan attacking the Americans, the Italians failing in Greece, and North Africa, requiring German help, and the Romanians fucking up constantly on the eastern front, and requiring massive amounts of assistance only to abandon the front at the worst of times like in Stalingrad.
They have marched endless distances, tortured by heat and thirst, often bogged down with despair in the mud of bottomless dirt roads, exposed to the hardships of a climate that varies between the White and Black Seas from the intense heat of July and August days to the winter storms of November and December, tormented by insects, suffering from dirt and pests, freezing in snow and ice, they fought -- the Germans and the Finns, the Italians, Slovaks, Hungarians, Romanians and Croatians, the volunteers from the northern and western European countries -- in short, the soldiers of the Eastern front!

The answer is a lot more complicated than one side being better or worse. You could make an argument in terms of kill ratio that German forces were far superior, but it's a complex argument because a lot of the most drastic numerical disparity was at the beginning of the war when initial surprise was on the German's side and trended towards even later. That can be analyzed in a lot of ways because even having an even K:D ratio towards the end of the war was kind of impressive on Germany's part due to the situation.
Due to Germany's emphasis on physical fitness in the 30s, even their malnourished and exhausted troops were in better physical shape than most of their well-rested opponents. Germany had some great weapons. They also some subpar weapons and logistics: they invaded the soviet union with lots of their supply coming from horse drawn carriages which is kind of crazy when you think about it because Germany's most famous war tactic was the Blitzkrieg and mobile armored columns.
When it comes to tanks for instance, Germany had some very fine ones. But one big problem that Germany had is they didn't have the resources (rubber) to use to build suspensions so they had to build more complicated spring systems. And their designers kind of over engineered their tanks to be perfect vehicles rather than optimizing them for mass-production so they created lots of models. In the field, having lots of tank models makes maintanence over long distances hard. The Soviets were laser focused on mass-production and getting thousands and thousands of tanks to the front and didn't care so much if they fell apart after a battle and couldn't be fixed so that gave them an advantage,
Quite true. But, to quote NVA general Vo Nguyen Giap:
" This is true, but it is also irrelevant."
All Slav nations not attached to Germany are complete shit. Lets be honest here.
don't imply this is a map of Nazi allies lol unless you think Russia east of Leningrad was allied with the Nazis
A minor border conflict is hardly a great help to Germany, and the japs decided on attacking the Americans rather than the Soviets because the navies proposal finally won out over the armies proposal to invade the Soviets.
Ukrainians could have been armed and trained, and they hated Stalin. A small contingent of Germans could have remained behind to facilitate a defense.
Americans seized Jap assets and froze out their steel/oil imports. They were put up against a wall, partly of their own doing of course.
They can’t even run a country without it collapsing.
>feels morally and physically superior
>proceeds to get REKT by inferior troops and technology
Sounds like modern day progressives.
>no turret basket
>optics might as well be beer goggles
>can still be penned from any side at any disntance by the long 75, let alone an 88
>only designed to be used in one battle then scrapped
Making 1000 trash cans to your enemys 5 ferraris doesnt mean its better. It just means you can beat the ferraris to death with enough trash cans.
The Soviets were telling everyone that the Germans intended on ethnically cleansing all of Ukraine.
And declaring war on them would somehow change that? The Japs were fucking idiots, I have no idea what they were thinking.
In Mein Kampf Hitler claimed that Slavs are inferior to Germanics and that Germanics are the destined leader-race of the Aryans. He made a damn good case that strengthens ever more every decade that passes. After he was elected he didn't give one anti-Slav speech or produce one anti-Slav poster.
A superior army wouldn't have invaded Russia during winter wearing just their typical uniform. That's fucking retarded. It's not like harsh Russkie winters were some unknown thing at the time.
>denying russian airforce was shit
>denying their tanks are a meme
I honestly am tempted to beat your face the fuck in. Go back to warthunder you fucking fragile Russian complex having faggot.
Remember Krauts lost 40k tanks and the Russians lost 128k but slavshit get fragile when you tell them their losses every time.
Anglo-Americans forced them to either put up or back down completely. They chose to fight.
They didn't invade during winter dummy.
Considering how many of those moving coffins were destroyed, I’m gonna say they weren’t that great until the end of the war. They were cheap, easy to produce, and pretty reliable, but that’s about it.
At the start of barbarossa and the first few months, even the first year, nazi germany and the axis absolutely had the advantage in allies. That's also when they inflicted the heaviest casualties, when they outnumbered the soviets and had the element of surprise and advantage by virtue of the fact the soviets were still not ready for war.
The T34 was a mighty fine tank. T34 spam was able to encircle Stalingrad because Germans had to ships thousands of 88mm AA guns (doubled at AT) west to protect German women and children from being roasted alive.
We can speculate all we want about what could've been but I'm not sure Ukraine is the best bet. I think if Pilsudski lived just a little longer, he could've formed a strong alliance with Hitler (as was intended before his death) and even brought the Baltic states into it. There was already a looming threat from the reds and all of us were already authoritarian by that time. We did remove some elements of National Socialist advocators but the alliance would've certainly formed if only out of necessity.

In fact I gave clear and precise warnings to Stalin of what was coming. I gave him warnings, as I have given warnings to others before. I can only hope that these warnings did not fall unheeded. We have offered to the Government of Soviet Russia any technical or economic assistance which is in our power and which is likely to be of service to them. We shall bomb Germany by day as well as by night in ever-increasing measure, casting upon them month by month a heavier discharge of bombs.

Have you read Ehrenburg's infamous propaganda piece about Germans?
Independent German allies:
Finland
Slovakia
Hungary
Romania
Bulgaria
Croatia
Italy
Japan
German sympathizers:
Sweden
Denmark (occupied but self-governed)
Baltic peoples (foreign SS)
Ukrainian peoples (foreign SS)
Bohemia (invited Hitler to make them a protectorate)
Austria (invited Hitler to annex them)
Free City of Danzig (voted national socialists into power)
France (post-armistice)
Spain
Just about all of the muslim world (and Mussolini was named protector of Islam)
I have not. Elaborate?
The first sentence is true, but the Soviets had a manpower advantage as well as material support by the Allies. Would have been an interesting fight had it been just the two nations fighting
>volunteers
they were not really volunteers
We know everything. We remember all. We realized: Germans are not human. From now on, the word "German" is the worst curse we have. From now on, the word "German" fires a gun. We will not talk. We will not get angry. We will kill. If you didn't kill any German today, your day is wasted. If you think your neighbour will kill the German in your stead, you did not realize the threat. If you don't kill the German, the German will kill you. He will take your folks and will torment them in his god-forsaken Germany. If you cannot kill a German with a bullet, kill a German with a bayonet. If everything is calm on your mark, if you're waiting for the battle, kill a German before the battle. If you let the German live, he will hang a Russian man and rape a Russian woman. If you killed one German, kill another - nothing brings us more joy than German corpses. Do not count days. Do not count leagues. Count one thing - the Germans you killed. Kill the German! - that's an old mother asking you. Kill the German! - that's a little child begging you. Kill the German! - that's your Motherland crying to you. Do not miss. Do not let go. Kill!
>The allies had most of the planet in their alliance
Lol, fucking who? The original allies were just Britain (and their dependencies), France and Poland.
Eventually Hitler occupied some neutral countries for reasons of naval protection, which is rather irrelevant to what side they sympathized with.
Then USSR and USA joined in later.
The allies, ironically enough, had almost no allies. Only in like 1945 when the war was over did a bunch of countries join in (nominally) to win points with Britain.
Try zooming out a little bit
Russians had the katyusha rockets, which could deliver huge firepower in a very short time at a range of 5km.
Germans had an amazing high tech V2 rocket which could fire a large bomb at a city-sized target at 150km.
For the price of one V2, you could make large numbers of katyusha. One weapon is high tech and virtualy useless. The other is highly effective.
Ah, yes. I've indeed heard that somewhere else. It wasn't a very rare sentiment for these bolsheviks at the time. You can't really keep up with who is saying what as it all just blends into itself.
The germans had the nebelwerfer, which was essentially the exact same thing. And it sounded cooler.
Spare me the bullshit, Italy delayed operation Barbarossa by 3 months, because they couldn’t take down Greece, Romania abandoned Stalingrad, and left the Germans inside to be surrounded, Hans Rudel (the highest decorated German soldier of all time) wrote that the Romanians even threw down their weapons so they could run faster, and considered firing on them for cowardice. Japan brought the burgers into the war. The Italians fucked up in North Africa waste ungodly amounts of German weapons, resources, men, and vehicles. Spain didn’t join the axis despite being helped in the civil war by the Germans, and Italians.
Stalin spent most of the Union’s money on weapons, and industry, they were more than prepared, but Stalin was just a retard, and killed his officers, ignored warnings, etc. The Soviet Union was massive, and while they technically had less men on the front than the Germans, that was mostly, because the Germans were killing or capturing them faster than they could be replaced as was the case with several of the largest encirclements in history during the initial phase of the invasion, but the union had no shortage of manpower, and they recruited just about every able bodied male, and kept replacing their losses, the Germans had nowhere near as many men to replace wartime losses, but the Soviets still lost somewhere between 10 millions, and 16 million soldiers.
When the T-34 was fielded it was vastly superior in battle than anything the Germans had.
It was a medium tank, so naturally it was outclassed by later German heavy tanks. In turn, the IS series tanks was decent (though not a game-changer like the T-34 was).
>>denying russian airforce was shit
It had the best ground attack aircraft later in the war.
>denying their tanks are a meme
In the sense that the T-34 is the precursor to the concept of the main battle tank later adopted by all land armies, yes, it is a "meme".
The T-34 outclassed everything the Germans had at the time. German heavy tanks came later, and were a shitshow of overengineering.
And that's why Germany won the war, right?
This. The eternal incompetence of Romania ultimately doomed mankind.
Britain brought in pretty much the entire commonwealth, and don’t forget all those colonies as well as the French colonies, that is at least a quarter of the planet right there, the Americans soon followed, and then the USSR.
T34 was such a pile of junk that they literally could not survive longer than 2 months before their engines broke down.
The burgers were gonna join the war with or without Japan doing anything, and Hitler knew that. That's the whole point of the rapid victory strategy that they had. And no, you're wrong. The soviet union was ill-prepared at the start. They had mostly light tanks at the beginning, and many of them were outdated. Yes the germans had some shitty allies, but they still had allies, and incredibly advantageous placement. The german's entire plan hinged on a rapid victory in the east so they made sure to strike at the perfect time.
Quantity over quality every time. Look into the reason behind the f16 when the us already had the f14 and f15.
Can you fucking imagine being retarded enough to think that was a map of german allies rofl.
Like for some reason eastern russia just decided to join the germans. Pretty sure I just lost another IQ point.
Yeah, but these weren't independent countries. It wasn't that they wanted to join the war, they just didn't have a say. Just about nobody outside of Europe wanted to join the war, and inside Europe, most independent countries sympathized with the Germans over the British. Even the French public sympathized more with the Germans but their shitty government dragged them into the war.
LMAO
The allies were the British empire,USA USSR and China which is the majority population of the planet.
Crunch the numbers, tell me again how thats true. It littetally has track pins that are kept in place by a fucking ramp that smacks them back in. Its a throw away tank, but thats what it was designed to be. It's not great, its just cheap and numerous. People like you think glocks are the pinnacle of handgun design. I hope one day you find bleach to be the pinnacle of beverages.
Yes, that explains why Hitler easily won WWII the currently the emperor of the world.
The Tiger could more than handle that rolling coffin, as could most Medium German tanks with decent guns, and they’re is a lot more to tank combat than just guns, and armour. Soviet sights were apparently dogshit, Soviet tactics were shit, many of their tanks had no radios, and made coordination difficult, and don’t forget about anti tank guns, mines, air attacks, and tank destroying squads.
You don’t lose over a hundred thousand planes, and still call it a good airforce.
The panther was considered the basis of modern tanks, and was considered the best tank of the war by many, the only issues was mechanical unreliability, but they sorted that out later anyway.
are you retarded? a tank is built to fight, and the t-34 was indeed ahead of everything the germans had. in fact many german generals used it as an excuse for why they lost the war.
>our shells were literally bouncing off the armor!
which of course was bullshit and just an excuse, but the point of the t-34 was to be effective in a fight and quick to produce, not to last long
Germany literally had no way to win a war of attrition that was forced upon them in WW2. Any advantage gained in the start of the invasion of Russia was negated by the fact the masses were not going to surrender. The deeper Germany got into Russia the longer their supply lines were making the counter attack even stronger. This plan worked in China as well to drive back the japs.
Attacking deep into Russia was a mistake and Stalingrad is noted as a textbook military mistake how not to siege a city.
Too bad they used all their slave population to create 25.000 tanks, nobody could have expected that
Most of the countries involved in the war were just British puppet states.
I don't think China was at war with Germany though Hitler might have nominally declared war on them to appease Japan.
Most of these places (India, China, Russia) were just agrarian with almost no infrastructure or industry.
Also, Britain had to suspend its parliament and throw Mosely in prison because Britain's oligarchs were afraid that the people would oppose the war. Britain also had to promise India independence I believe, to keep them in the war on their side. Thousands of Soviet citizens joined the foreign-SS and the Wehrmacht as well.
>better weapons
I know for instance that a lot of Germans threw away their MP40 during winter because it was only made out of metal and it froze to their hands. They were more than happy to swap it with that cheap Tommy gun (PPSh 41)
They even had conversion kits so it would accept German ammo.
> better tanks
I think the Russian T-34 caused quite a shock among Germans when they saw them the first time in action. T-34 could also be started with compressed air if the battery was out of order (guess what can happen with a battery during very cold winters)
It was better than the Panzer Is and Panzer II's. It was comparable to the P.IV in armor and gun size but in every other way was far worse.
>better tanks
lmao
Didn't the MP40 include a bakelite lower receiver? As in early plastic?
Then again, primitive plastic in harsh winter...
The Soviets just Zerg rushed to a win.
Same thing the chinks will do.
>Before & after vlad whispers blyat in your ear
Doesn't matter if your military has better tanks, better planes, better small-arms, better artillery, bigger dicks...
Logistics is what wins wars. Russians were simply better able to resupply. Dunno how much Lend-Lease counted in the final equasion, though...
Yet even with all those allies Germany lacked a single economic juggernaut as an ally.
They needed one of these
>USSR
>USA
>British empire
>China
They had a non aggression pact against the USSR at the beginning but this did not last. In WW3 however the EU is going to have China on their side which will fuck the allies hard you will see.
That's why the commie jew led red army needed to trick England and America into helping them defeat Germany.
Trick them lmao.
>"If Hitler invaded hell, I would at least make a favorable reference to the devil"
Churchill
You just explained how enslaved by the 1% we really all are in the west.
Who do you think they're going to fight? Russia isn't an issue, most European states are now doing a good job of warming relations with them. The US is untouchable. What, they're going to invade the UK?
>Who do you think they're going to fight?
Obviously the neo british empire America and its vassals.
yes of course, from tanks that broke down every 150km and required a 6 ton crane to fix to the jets that just burn the entire plane mid fight.
vastly superior
>Hohol butthurt about Russia immeditelly proxied into butthurt about Serbia

Just keep throwing man after man into the line of fire of the kill bots until they reach their factory designed kill limit, and you will win.
The Soviets were literally saved just in time with railroad supplies from the US
