people in oblivion just looked ridiculous and they don't look that ridiculous in skyrim. They actually look like people (sometimes awkwardly shaped people but still people)
but the biggest problem i have with the game is the color scheme in it is lifeless. It consists of brown, white, and grey for the most part along with very dark green which can almost be mistaken for a shade of grey actually. When people say skyrim is a beautiful game, I sit there and wonder how they can possibly think that. Skyrim isn't a beautiful game, it's an ugly game. But that fits the landscape well.

It's easy to hate on Skyrim when Morrowind exists. Skyrim is a victim of TES's success more than anything, it got to big and then jst happened to stop exploring deeper ideas like CHIM and the metaphysics of the scrolls themselves and started focusing on the physical. Morrowind would never have let you just pick up and read an Elder Scroll, for instance. Rather, Morrowind would have had you re-discover the elder scroll's meaning and interpret it into your current situation after reading several books and talking to several sages scattered about in far flung reaches of the map without fast travel, giving you time to ruminate on the things you've read about and feel the scale of your task. On the bright side though, it's fun to murder filthy elves with Wuuthrad.

first thing I did recently was install Character Overhaul mod which gives you classes and permanent birthsigns. Better Skills mod too. it lowers the experience percentage rate for each skill. I still sorta hate the perk system. Other than that it's pretty cool exploration-wise and some quests are well-coded and written but only some.
