You guys know theres nothing up there, right? When you get a sense of scale between us and just the next nearest star, we are never going to be around long enough to even get to the next star. Mars is basically wasted real estate. No other planet is remotely habitable. We are out of reception for any civilization that ever has or ever will try to contact us, much more get a visit.
And aside from military, there is basically no use for near earth projects either. At most we'll get a government run trailer park floating taking more pictures of useless shit. There isnt even enough incentive to try manufacturing in space because theres no where to go or anything of real value. Exploration for its own sake cant fund itself.
