Since these are regional elections, they wont have much impact on the federal immigration policy. The important thing is, that middle germany is still mostly german, and the AfD is desperately needed to defend this until westgermany went completely to shit. Dresden and Leipzig report DOUBLE the Wahlbeteiligung than last time, which is not a good sign IMO. Big cities are generally leftist, they have massive numbers to offset the rural areas, and it's very easy to organize efforts to get people to the voting booths, like shuttle services (needless to say that it's usually the left that's good in organizing such efforts).
Let's not forget that even in the east, the majority votes for the Altparteienkartell, they are only RELATIVELY based. But hope dies last, let's see what comes of it.

I think pollsters learned from 2016 and are now overestimating the right-wing.
