Northern Ireland is essentially majority British in Northern Co.Dowm and Co.Antrim. That is the true Northern Ireland. The other counties should be in the republic as they are all majority Irish.
If Britain did this in the first place there wouldn't have been "The troubles."
Unification would be nice but it isn't a priority as right now keeping Ireland irish and Britain British is what we are prioritizing atm.

Yes, of course we want reunification. It's our land, except it's just a little infested at the moment. If we took our six counties back, British conservatives wouldn't give a fuck ( and it'd eliminate the "backstop" issue in Brexit negotiations. Catholics are on task to outnumber Protestants soon. A reunification would have our economy booming.

It is going to happen eventually. Also people have been lulled into a false sense of security and peace over the past few decades. They seem to view this short cessation as of hostilities as the final chapter in a book that stretches back centuries. If history has though us anything on this island it that the British are never to be trusted and any agreements or treaties signed with them have at every turn been meaningless. The brexit bullshit is just the latest episode in a long list of political interference and manipulation on this island by the British. You have a certain section of todays Irish who look at all this through the eyes of their short lives and the fact that they are comfortable so fuck anyone who upsets their shitty lives by upsetting the apple cart. Thankfully their are people who don't think like that, who can see the British treachery for what it is and will never, ever rest until this island is united and no longer tormented by British interference. Britain sees the writing on the wall for a united Ireland and this lastest hard border, brexit nonsense is only London trying to delay the inevitable.

By that logic so has Italy and you can never envisage that the EU will fall apart and other member states will have their own exit just like Britain. When that happens and individual countries take back control of their own affairs Ireland will be the country it was meant to be united and free.
