For years we’ve been contemplating the idea of moving from PA to FL. We should have years ago when you could have bought a 2500 sqft house for 60-90k.. Unfortunately the housing market has nearly equaled out now though(in the area we like)

But a few of the reasons for us,
Lower property taxes
No income taxes
Cheaper cost of living
Cheaper houses
No auto inspections or emissions
No snow
Mild weather 8 months out of the year
Always near a beach.
Etc etc

It’s worth it for me because I live in a state with the 3rd highest cost of living in America! If I can retire and get at minimum a 3-4 thousand dollar decrease in my cost of living I’ll take it!
