A great, underappreciated film is a Roger Corman 'Alien' rip-off called "Galaxy of Terror" that has some amazing set production done by... James Cameron when he worked for Corman. You can see the Gieger Influence Cameron later used in the 'Aliens' sets (as opposed to just the Alien in 'Alien').

Corman films are pure camp, but exquisite in their own right. This one had a large (for Corman) budget of $2 Million. Probably my favorite film by him.
