When left to their own devices, strong countries simply shift to decadence through populist, socialist policies rather than actually trade in democracy and private property for state owned means of production. So the current communists instead believe it needs to be forced, so they are extremely subversive by necessity. Communism will not occur on it's own, it requires revolution. Revolution requires a serious enough social upheaval for such extreme modifications to our government and way of life to be acceptable to the average person. To do this, they actively tarnish private property, facilitate irresponsibility, and harness division to create a culture war. In this case they've been extremely successful in abusing the left' victories in great expansions of government and bureaucracy to showcase capitalism as an nonworking system that only facilitates unfairness and suffering. So the end goal is the dismantling of the republic and they use class, racial, gender, etc divisions to ensure the population can never be unified in favor of the country.
