God, I remember going to see Superbad in the theater and thinking it was the funniest, most edgy thing ever. Now it's just like.......the same joke over and over again more than a decade later, except these people have been revealed to have a whole different and more repressive set of taboos than the social conservatives and uptight people who gasped at off color sex jokes. These people have been revealed as having such a transparent agenda now. It's sad. I can't remember the last time I saw something by any of these people and actually laughed. There are no fucking funny jokes anymore, man. These people were cultural marxists all along. It is a shame cuz I really liked humor.

It's mostly the same joke, all "comedy" today, because it's the only joke thats left that's "safe" and panders to the new breed of autist, which is becoming increasingly normal, which can't understand or perceive humor.
It goes like this:
>Two characters interacting
>Character 1 says something really awkward to character 2
>Character 1 pauses for a specific set of time for the audience to laugh
>Character 1 then makes an awkward, fake-embarrassed face and then explains his own joke to the autistic left-wing audience.
If you watch movies that come out now, the characters always explain their own jokes and inner dialogue. Almost every time. It all gets spelled out of the audience, really almost creepily explicitly. And it's all played off with the same "embarrassed character is sharing their inner dialogue about their own embarrassment".

Consider that compared to something like Ghostbusters. That movie has jokes in it that I didn't even notice until I was a joke. Like there's a scene where the secretary is hitting on Egon, and she's trying to act all pretentious saying "I'm very intellectual myself, some people say I read too much. Do you have any hobbies?". And Egon, totally uninterested in the stupid secretary, says totally deadpan "I collect spores, mold and funguses". Fucking hilarious line. You don't even really think it's funny unless you're an adult and understand what is going on and can pick up dry humor. And that's how most of the humor in that movie and many others from the days gone by were.

IDK man. Fucking rant, sorry, but our society is going through a real transformation in terms of humor where they are really losing their ability to perceive it and understand it, and I think it's cuz of a rise of a sort of mass-autism, and it's a problem that's not gonna get any better ever. That's why today people literally say something as fucking innocent and banal as the TV show "Friends" from the 90s is "offensive".

I didn't find any of the jokes funny. A few years ago I'd be in tears. It's all the same garbage.
