With their current trajectory they will be surpass the US by 2050.

What people dont realize about Chinese history is that they've managed to survive more or less as one entity for thousands of years. That's impressive considering how many other empires have crashed and burn. The Chinese almost always finds a way to rebound. They arent going anywhere. And now with nuclear weapons as a deterrent to any invasion, the Chinese are going to stay for a long, long time. Lest a full blown out nuclear war, but that will lead to the destruction of mankind.

Look at Chinese history and you understand why investors constantly buy into and pull out of China. 1.3 billion people leads to highly unstable area of the world which has a period of extreme growth followed by decades of fall and collapse. Chinese aristocracies are not militarily focused like Western ones are as they don't glorify warfare and war heroes like the West does.
